LIBERTY HOTEL MURAL
Liberty Hotel, Boston
A mural located in the entrance of the Liberty Hotel, formerly the Charles St. Jail; this piece was strongly influenced by the hotel's history. The Liberty Hotel uses images such as mug shots of former prisoners, ropes, jail bars, fingerprints, handcuffs, and clocks to evoke themes of confinement, referencing the history of the space.
CHELSEA FLOWERS
Marriott Courtyard/ Chelsea, New York City
I was given the subject "nature" for this project. I chose flowers because the location (135 W 30th St) is in the neighborhood of the flower district. One can see the mural from the street through the glass facade.
LOEWS MURAL
The Loews Hotel, New Orleans
This large mural, located in the entrance of the Loews Hotel, depicts New Orleans-related images, including maps, architecture, street life, patterns, and landscapes. With this piece, I wanted to capture the essence of New Orleans in all its vibrance – its history, its people, its landscape, and its music.
MIAMI FISH
Private Residence, Providence
This piece is a large mural of a densely populated invented sea landscape with a kaleidoscopic perspective. The entire underwater world is an aquatic vision-full of motion, color, schools of fish spanning multiple tiles, beads, coral, seahorses, fish on top of fish, darting through marine fauna past sea anemones. Acetate dollies are my interpretation of jellyfish.
